In a resting cell, the electric potential inside it is negative, while that outside is positive. The resting potential of human cells is about -90mV, making them a natural biological battery. Since each cell constitutes a capacitor with positive and negative potentials (negative inside and positive outside), there exists a cell membrane potential. This type of electricity, constituting the source of life and a sign of vitality, is aptly called ‘bio-wave’. It is 6V in children, 3V in the middle-aged and 2V in the elderly. In the weak and the sick, bio-wave is even weaker. When bio-wave ceases, so does life itself.
Nowadays, due to excessive harmful substances in the atmosphere, severe pollution of rivers, lakes and seas, acute depletion of forests and grasslands, serious reduction in land area, damages to the ozone layer, the greenhouse effect, radiation as well as increase in cities and infrastructure, mankind’s bio-wave is seriously jeopardized, with the negative ions (electrons) in the body heavily depleted. In addition, improper lifestyle such as a poor diet, drinking and smoking and overwork all work together to derange bio-wave, causing electric dysfunction of human body and further weakening the body’s electric field with lacking of negative ions.
